Bunny in my Garden

Jean Peacock had her first one woman exhibition at the Wells Gallery, Virginia Beach in 1986. Six more were to follow. She continues to exhibit in juried exhibitions throughout the Hampton Roads area. Two exhibitions in which she is particularly proud to have been included in are: “The Female Experience in Art”, a two year traveling show throughout Virginia. And “The Door to Good: A Fairy Tale”, an original story written and created by Matthew Bernier, puppeteer and Jean Peacock, oil painter. The show consisted of 42 very large paintings and the puppets of Matthew Bernier. An ambitious project - voted one of the ten best exhibitions of 1998 in Hampton Roads by The Virginian-Pilot.
Jean has studied art at Hollins College, UNC, Chapel Hill, VCU , Vermont Studio School and the Grande Chaumiere, Paris France. She lives in Olde Towne Portsmouth with her artist husband and two dogs.
