Betty
Burnell comes from a whole family of designing women. She
started designing things at an early age – first doll clothes,
then ME clothes, then jewelry, then rooms, then the stuff that went
in them. She married
an artist, J. Robert Burnell and together they energize each other with creativity.
Betty’s wearable art, her jewelry, is all handmade using glass
beads, sterling and fine silver, pearls and gemstones. She makes
the fused glass
and fine silver items with her very own hands with her very own tools
and kilns. “I am a happy woman and I am blessed. Whether
you are buying my stuff for yourself or as a gift for some other
neat person, I
hope it
makes you as happy as you are making me.”
Betty and her husband live in Portsmouth, Virginia.
